Many of you are awesome volunteers who are probably wondering about officials certifications this year...Here is some recent info from GKAISA. Please all families read below. Although Coach Jack and the other assistants will be filling many of the roles typically held by parents at the virtual meets, we will still need some parents to volunteer so we can run meets. 

From GKAISA...

Because of limitations with the number of people who are able to safely congregate at our facilities and on our pool decks, the GKAISA Board has elected to extend certification so that any official who was certified in a job last year will retain that certification for this year. However, we do encourage all certified officials to review the materials and re-take the test for certification. The materials and the links to the test are on the GKAISA website, and we will be posting training videos in the next week, as well. If you have a parent who would like to be certified, please encourage them to complete the online training and take the certification test. If you have questions, please email Tom Schumann at [email protected].

Additionally, any Head Coach or Assistant Coach can complete the training and serve as a certified official this year, either by completing the online training or by attending a live training with Tom Schumann. Details on the live training will be forthcoming. We hope that some of you will take advantage of this opportunity, as it will give you a better understanding in the coming years as to the roles of the various officials and the rules that comprise their decisions.
