Thank You + Meet RSVP & Volunteer

    Pirate Families,

Thank you so much for a fun afternoon at the kick off social! It was good to see old and new faces! Thanks to Cassady Varner and a big thank you to Sarah Baker for your help and for organizing bringing the treats! A few housekeeping items below!

-Please let us know whether or not you plan on attending our first home meet on Thursday, June 9th, Please RSVP; attend or decline here: MEET RSVP. The coaches will begin creating the lineup this coming week, so please sign up by Monday evening at the latest as they will need Tuesday and Wednesday to put swimmers in their events. No late entries will be made, so if you plan to attend the meet, please RSVP by the Monday evening deadline.

Once you RSVP, please sign up for a volunteer shift. If you have a child swimming in the meet, you will need to work at least one shift, and if you are not there, yes a grandparent or babysitter can serve in your place, no problem! Sign up to volunteer here: VOLUNTEER SIGN UP.

-If you have a spouse who is willing to volunteer for an additional shift, it would be a great help~ Since so many families are still traveling since summer has just started, we still have some spots to fill to run the meet. We still need to fill a timer scribe shift, a head timer shift, and an escort shift in addition to a couple other spots. Everyone that has a child swimming is signed up for at least one shift already, so if anyone can help out with an extra shifts it would be a great help as we cannot run the meet without these spots filled. When more families are in town, we will have more help filling shifts, and the meets run a lot longer when we are short on volunteers, so if you are able to help fill these extra shifts it would be much appreciated!

Having a smaller but mighty team has many benefits (smaller practices, less crowded pool decks, more interaction and attention) but it also means we have a smaller parent pool than the larger teams for volunteering. Teams with 200+ swimmers have lots of parents, but I can guarantee their practices are very crowded and its not as much of a family atmosphere like it is at PClub. I appreciate all of your cooperation and help, our team always comes together and runs some of the best and SMOOTHEST meets in all of GKAISA league.

Thanks for your help and understanding with this!

    Goooooooooo Pirates!!
